Course tuition
Tuition for the 40-hour approved course varies by school and format. Compare approved providers directly; treat quoted tuition figures as variable, provider-set costs rather than official state fees.
The $88 application fee is not course tuition
LARA describes the $88 figure as the application fee plus the three-year license fee, paid through MiPLUS at initial application. It is separate from course tuition and from the PSI exam fee.
The $79 PSI exam fee is per registration
The current PSI salesperson exam registration fee is $79. Registration fees are nonrefundable, and a paid registration is generally valid for one year. Failing the examination and registering again, or missing or late-canceling an appointment, can create additional cost under current PSI rules.
Renewal and relicensure costs
The current salesperson renewal fee is $78, plus the cost of any continuing education. The current relicensure fee for an expired license is $108. See the renewal & CE guide for the relicensure branch.
Other variable costs
Depending on your situation, you may also budget for optional exam-prep products, document or notarization costs where applicable, and any current optional certified-verification or duplicate-document charges. A standard background-check or fingerprint fee is not part of the current standard application cost.
