A course marketed as “online” should be verified as a currently accepted live-remote offering. What to Verify Before You Enroll
- The school is currently licensed by NJREC to deliver prelicensure education.
- The specific offering is an approved live-remote or in-person format.
- What technology, attendance, makeup, cancellation, completion, and assessment policies the school uses.
- The school reports completion electronically to PSI before exam scheduling.

- What technology, attendance, makeup, and cancellation policies does your school use?
- Is the school's live-remote format currently NJREC-approved, and can they show current approval documentation?
- What happens if you miss a live session — is there a makeup path that still counts toward the 75 hours?
Verify the specific offering, not only the provider
A school may have multiple formats. Verify the exact section being purchased, not only the provider name.

- Is this exact section currently offered as live remote or in person?
- What attendance policy applies?
- What technology is required?
- What happens if a session is missed or rescheduled?
- How is completion reported to PSI?
- How will the candidate confirm eligibility issuance?
These are provider questions, not statewide mandates.
Warning signs
Ask more questions when “fully online” language does not identify a format, school licensing is not verifiable, completion reporting is unclear, or marketing says course completion itself creates a license.
