Verify before you enroll
Before paying tuition for an online provider, confirm that provider and the exact course are currently approved for Pennsylvania qualifying education through the official PA provider lookup. Do not assume every school marketing itself as offering “real estate license online PA” courses is currently approved.
What an online course can cover
An approved online course can fully satisfy the 75-hour Real Estate Fundamentals and Real Estate Practice requirement, the same as an in-person course, as long as the provider is approved.
What an online course does not replace
Completing an online course does not replace registering for and passing the Pearson VUE exam, securing an employing broker, completing your CHRC background check, or submitting your PALS application. Provider Verification Checklist
- Provider approval — is the school itself currently approved?
- Specific course approval — is this exact course section approved, not just the provider generally?
- Delivery format — self-paced, live-remote, or a mix, and how attendance/completion is verified.
- Final examination / proctoring — is a proctored final required, and how is it administered?
- Certificate fields — will the completion certificate include what Clarus needs for exam-eligibility review?
- Reporting / eligibility process — how and when does the provider confirm completion for your Clarus application?
- Refund and completion policy — what happens if you don't finish or don't pass the proctored final?
