To confirm someone holds an active Pennsylvania real estate license, use the official PA license verification system directly. Search by the licensee's name or license number and confirm the license status and expiration shown there.
What is not license verification

Interpreting a PALS Search Result
- Name and license-number search — both are usually supported; a license number is the more precise match.
- License type — confirm you're looking at "Salesperson," not a different license category.
- Current status — active, inactive, or expired all mean different things for whether someone can currently practice.
- Expiration date — renewal is due by May 31 of even-numbered years, with no grace period.
- Disciplinary information — may be displayed where applicable; don't assume its absence means a clean history if the search doesn't cover that scope.
Don't overinterpret a single search
A lookup result answers a specific, narrow question about license status. If something looks wrong or is missing after a reasonable processing window, contact the Commission directly rather than relying on the tool alone.
