PathReady Cookie Policy

Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how PathReady uses cookies, pixels, localStorage, local storage, and similar technologies on our U.S.-focused licensing guide network.

1. Scope

This policy applies to PathReady pages and services that link to it. It should be read with our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Affiliate Disclosure.

PathReady is an independent information resource. We do not issue licenses, approve applications, administer exams, or operate state licensing portals.

2. Technologies We Use

Cookies are small files placed on your browser or device. Pixels and similar tags can help measure visits or referral activity. localStorage and local storage let a static site remember preferences or privacy-safe journey state in your browser.

These technologies may be set by PathReady or, where enabled, by service providers that help us operate, secure, measure, or improve the site.

3. Cookie Categories

Essential

Essential technologies are always active. They support core site operation, security, preference storage, form integrity, and privacy-safe local features such as the Florida Journey state. They do not require opt-in through our Manage Cookies control.

Analytics

Analytics technologies help us understand site performance, page usage, and whether guides are useful. PathReady Journey analytics events, including non-PII intent events sent to /api/intent-event or mirrored to dataLayer, are not sent unless Analytics is enabled in the consent state. If the cookie manager is unavailable, analytics event sending fails closed by default.

Marketing / Affiliate

Marketing / Affiliate technologies may help measure commercial referrals, affiliate link performance, or future marketing campaigns. If these scripts are added in the future, PathReady should not load them unless Marketing / Affiliate is enabled in the consent state.

4. Affiliate and Outbound Links

Some PathReady pages may link to education providers, exam-prep tools, or related services. Affiliate networks or providers may use their own cookies or similar technologies after you click an outbound link and leave PathReady. Their practices are governed by their own policies, not this Cookie Policy.

5. Manage Cookies

You can use the site’s control to accept all, reject non-essential, manage choices, or save choices for Analytics and Marketing / Affiliate categories. Essential remains always active.

Your choice is stored in localStorage using the versioned key pathready_cookie_consent_v1. You can reopen Manage Cookies from the footer at any time to update your preferences.

6. Browser Controls

You can also block, delete, or restrict cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Some site features may not work as intended if essential browser storage is disabled.

7. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy as site technology, legal requirements, or business practices change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date.
